Designed by award-winning architects Pilbrow & Partners, Aspen at Consort Place is set to be the third tallest residential building in the Canary Wharf horizon, providing incredible dramatic views of The City, Greenwich and Canary Wharf itself.
Pilbrow & Partners is one of London’s leading architectural and urban design studios, whose work is renowned throughout the UK and internationally. Recent awards include the American Architectural Prize and the Planning Award for the UCLH Hospital and Architect’s Journal’s Architecture Tomorrow Award for their recent work in Canary Wharf.
Principal Fred Pilbrow stated that he had always viewed Aspen as the apex of a tall building cluster that truly complements the famous silhouette of Canary Wharf. It was of equal significance to create a sense of difference between the building and its neighbours, and to fully embrace the advantages of the building’s height throughout the development.
He commented: “During the planning phases, we saw multiple opportunities to optimise our vision for Aspen and the surrounding community of Consort Place. We wholeheartedly believe people enjoy a large amount of natural light and great views in their home.”
“We have focused on maximising the connection to the exterior; the building’s three petals create six corners, and consequently the majority of the apartments benefit from fabulous dual aspect views. It also helps to give a wonderful connection to the water and to the distinctive loop of the River Thames that curls around the panoramas.”
In addition, Aspen Paramount will be a vital part of the new development. This glorious sky lounge and bar with 180° views will be situated on the 63rd floor. Whether entertaining friends in the evening or claiming a peaceful corner for work during the day, Aspen Paramount will provide a unique experience.
